Wrapping Liners are high-barrier liners designed to enclose complete pallet-sized loads while allowing the products to remain in their original bags, cartons or other packaging.
The liner is wrapped around the load and securely sealed. The integrated Two-Way Valve provides one connection point for vacuuming and gas flushing with the vQm High-Speed or XL Conditioning Unit, allowing the atmosphere around the complete pallet to be modified without opening or repacking the individual packages.
This makes the Wrapping Liner particularly suitable for incoming goods that need to be isolated, treated or protected before storage or onward transport. Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) conditions can be created around the complete pallet load, protecting products against external moisture ingress, oxidation, mould-related risks and stored-product insects during storage and transport.
For the modified atmosphere to reach and protect the product, the original packaging must allow sufficient gas exchange. If the individual bags or inner packages are airtight, the MAP conditions will remain outside those packages and not reach the product inside.
Once conditioned, the Wrapping Liner remains around the load, allowing the protective atmosphere to be maintained during storage or onward transport. When the wrapped pallet is transported further, additional outer protection, should be applied to help prevent damage to the liner.
The Wrapping Liner is manufactured in a BRC food grade production environment, supporting its use in packaging applications for food and agricultural commodities.

The circumference of the common wrapping liners is 448cm, so a Euro pallet can be placed inside after the wrapping liner is opened, e.g. on another pallet with carton sheet. Before placing the full pallet load, a re-usable pallet protection sheet of vQm should be placed to protect the wrapping liner from being damaged by the pallet. Once all sides of the pallet protection sheets are closed with Velcro tape, the wrapping liner can be pulled up and sealed. Please note that in these cases only a modest vacuum level of up to 500hpa (absolute) can be applied. If the goods are on industrial CP9 pallets, Hood Liners of vQm can be used to wrap the full pallet, in combination with the pallet protection sheets.
