FIBC Quadro

Product Description

vQm Quadro big bags are form-stable, square shaped FIBCs with an integrated high-barrier liner, designed for the storage and transport of dry commodities under Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) conditions.

Unlike conventional FIBCs, which often become rounded after filling and leave unused space inside shipping containers and warehouses. Their form-stable construction allows bags to be handled and positioned more efficiently inside containers and warehouses, helping to maximize loading capacity and improve stacking stability.

Inside the FIBC, a multilayer high-barrier liner (with baffles inside for the form-stability) helps to maintain the modified atmosphere conditions, while oxygen, moisture, fumes and other external threats are kept outside. The liner is connected to the outer bag along the horizontal corners, helping maintain the square shape while also reducing the risk of spilled product becoming trapped between the liner and the outer FIBC.

The integrated vQm Two-Way Valve provides one secure connection point for vacuuming and gas flushing. Combined with the vQm High-Speed or XL Conditioning Unit, MAP conditions can be created, protecting product quality during storage and transport.

Certifications

Quadro Bags are manufactured in a BRC-certified food-grade production environment, , supporting their use in packaging applications for food and agricultural commodities.

Key Benefits

Efficient container loading

The square shape allows bags to be positioned closely together, helping improve container utilisation up to 20% compared with conventional rounded FIBCs. Depending on the product, filling method and bag configuration, significantly more products may be loaded per container.

Form stability:

The stable construction helps reduce bag deformation, friction and product movement during transport, supporting safer handling and stacking while helping to protect workers and sensitive products against physical damage.

Limited oxygen and moisture ingress

The high-barrier liner strongly limits oxygen and moisture ingress, helping reduce rehydration, condensation-related damage and mould risk.

Reduced quality loss and waste

The modified atmosphere inside the Quadro Bag helps to reduce mould development, moisture and oxidative quality deterioration and to eliminate insect infestations (>99% mortality).

Extend shelf life

The Quadro bag can increase the shelf life of your cargo up to 2 years, depending on the commodity, initial quality and storage/transport conditions.

Standard bag sizes

The Quadro bags of vQm have a base of 105x105cm and can be produced heights up to 210cm, and with barrier film of 115 or 140 micron (or tailor-made if order quantity allows). For the two (2) most common dimensions, stock is kept available as much as possible, to shorten delivery times and get new users up and running as quickly as possible. All bags have a SWL of 1250kg:

Quadro big bag 105 × 105 × 120 cm

Supplied with a 115-micron 7-layer EVOH high-barrier liner.

With an unfilled base of approximately 105 × 105 cm, the bag expands to around 115 × 115 cm after filling, depending on the product and filling conditions.

Particularly suitable for relatively dense dry commodities such as:

Depending on the product, filling conditions and transport configuration, or these bags are not under MAP conditions (no vacuum), this lower-height version can also be suitable for double stacking in a standard container.

Quadro big bag 105 × 105 × 180 cm

Supplied with a 140-micron 7-layer EVOH high-barrier liner.

With an unfilled base of approximately 105 × 105 cm, the bag expands to around 115 × 115 cm after filling, depending on the product and filling conditions.

Particularly suitable for lower-density commodities such as:

Depending on the product, filling conditions and transport configuration, or these bags are not under MAP conditions (no vacuum), this lower-height version can also be suitable for double stacking in a standard container.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A Quadro Bag is a form-stable FIBC with an integrated high-barrier liner designed to maintain a square shape while providing modified atmosphere protection for the product inside.

Conventional FIBCs often become rounded after filling. The Quadro construction helps maintain a more rectangular shape, improving stability and allowing bags to be positioned more efficiently inside containers and warehouses.

Yes, the bags remain more form-stable and have the perfect dimensions for a standard container, they can improve use of available container space up to 20%. The actual improvement depends on product density, filling level, bag dimensions and loading configuration.

Yes, the integrated vQm Two-Way Valve can be connected to a vQm High-Speed or XL Conditioning Unit for vacuuming and gas flushing.

Depending on the application, nitrogen (N₂)and or carbon dioxide (CO₂) can be used.

Yes, low-oxygen or CO₂-rich atmospheres can be used for insect treatment when the required conditions are maintained. For applications specifically focused on insect treatment, please read the non-chemical insect treatment page for requirements and further guidance.

The high-barrier liner strongly limits external moisture ingress, helping maintain the required product moisture conditions during storage and transport.

Connecting the liner along the horizontal corners helps support the form-stable construction and reduces the chance of product becoming trapped between the liner and outer bag.

Combine form-stable FIBC handling with high-barrier Modified Atmosphere Packaging to protect dry commodities while making better use of storage and container space.
